 Incidental, these Bias levels might be different on certain clusters. This will result in less sharp images, or less contrast. If so, they can be slightly adjusted by soldering a resistor to a +5V, ground, or -15V(or -12V) point.

For example, if you got a LCD show contrast fault, Power on the dashboard, measure the voltage of V1 to V5. Compare to the design Bais voltage and find out which one is much different.Adjust the measured volt close to Designed BIAS Levels.

Note: For above resistor, only is a suggest value, maybe not fit to some kind of dashboard, but method is the same.After add a resistor, power on the dashboard, check and measure the voltage again.

Stepper Motor Replace in Pointer Gauges

The world is digital today, and most information is represented in numbers. However, human nature is more "analog" and better represented in the old-fashioned way, using pointer gauges and bar graphs. Pointer motor and gauges can be found in many applications. Automobiles, trains, and even modern aircraft dashboards. It does not look like good old pointer gauges will disappear in the near future.


An efficient way to control a pointer gauge is to use a stepper motor. A stepper motor is an electrome chanical device that converts electrical pulses into discrete mechanical movements. The shaft or spindle of a stepper motor rotates in discrete step increments when electrical command pulses are applied to it in the proper sequence. The motors rotation has several direct relationships to these applied input pulses. The sequence of the applied pulses is directly related to the direction of motor shafts rotation. The speed of the motor shafts rotation is directly related to the frequency of the input pulses.

Power Window Regulator For Renault

The Power Window Regulator is an electrical motor with gears that engage the window regulator. The motor takes the drivers input via a switch and sends a power signal to the motor to move the window up or down. The window regulator transfers power from the window motor to the window glass, moving it up or down. The regulator is made up of two tracks, a thin metal cable, and some plastic pieces that act as guides for the cable.

Troubleshooting the bad window regulator

The two main reasons for the power window failing in an automobile are the regulator itself is in need of replacement or the electric motor is faulty.
